Masseria Tre Ulivi
Deep harvest work at a traditional Puglian masseria
About this host
Tre Ulivi — Three Olives — is an understatement. The masseria stands among 800 olive trees, some of them over a thousand years old, their trunks twisted into shapes that look like figures frozen mid-dance. The harvest here is not fast or light; these old trees are the serious kind, the ones that make Puglia the engine of Italian olive oil. Groups use long rakes and ground nets, working in pairs around each tree in a slow circuit. The pace is deliberate. By the end of the week most people say it is the most physical thing they have ever done that also felt restorative.
The story behind this place
Ginevra inherited the masseria at 28 and nearly sold it. Instead she spent two seasons learning every tree with the old farmhand, Michele, who had worked here for 40 years. She now runs harvest weeks with a methodical care that impresses even the oldest local farmers.

Demanding physical work — sustained bending, lifting and raking. CrossFit athletes typically find it very well matched to their conditioning. This is a sample listing to give you an idea of the kinds of hosts on the platform.
